Press Release Auburn: Art on Main Gallery "Date Night" by KT Hancock Contact: Allison Hyde, Arts Program Supervisor 253-931-3043 arts@auburnwa.gov<mailto:arts@auburnwa.gov> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 9th, 2024 ___________ The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present an art installation, titled "Date Night" by KT Hancock at Auburn's Art on Main window-front gallery, on view January 9th - April 7th, 2024. Artwork Statement: "Date Night" creates a luminous story starting with a single cyclist, dancing in the desert and ends with a romantic gesture beneath the moon. Words within the installation elude to destinations as ICE to describe the lone cycler, Dry is used to describe the desert cactus scene and Pizza and Pasta equates the to classic Date Night. Within the installation we also ask "Are We Here Yet?" as the dancers end in a sweet caress.
