Prepare for fall with free home and garden workshops
Get your home and garden ready for colder weather by attending free workshops where green living experts will teach the basics of weatherizing your home for energy savings, preparing your garden for fall planting, home composting and making your own rain barrels.
Workshops are open to Tacoma and Pierce County residents. This schedule is subject to change and space is limited, so please register in advance at www.cityoftacoma.org/EnviroHousehttp://www.cityoftacoma.org/EnviroHouse or call (253) 573-2426. Workshops may be canceled due to the lack of participants registered.

About the EnviroHouse
As the Puget Sound area's only permanent green model home, the City of Tacoma EnviroHouse showcases green building and natural landscape ideas, materials and techniques to create a healthy home and planet. The EnviroHouse is a partnership of City of Tacoma's solid waste, surface water and wastewater utilities, and Tacoma Water and Tacoma Power. Visits by the public and pre-arranged group tours are welcome during open hours.

Hours: Wednesday-Friday: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
