Even know the holidays are over many of us still have packages delivered on a regular basis, which makes it a popular time for porch pirates. * Here are some helpful tips to fend off the Porch Pirates: * Track your packages and try to be home when they are delivered. If packages are delivered when you are away, kindly ask a neighbor to grab the package for you. * If ordering with Amazon, consider using the Amazon Locker service instead of having packages delivered to your home. * Front door cameras or doorbell cameras can help deter package thieves. * Keep your front door well lit. The City of Bellevue does not allow vehicles to be parked on our streets longer than 24 hours (Bellevue Municipal Code 11.23.020) and parking over 24 hours is prohibited. Except for authorized time limit zones (BCC 11.23.022), no person may park or re-park a vehicle on either side of a public street within the same block for a period exceeding 24 consecutive hours. A vehicle shall be deemed to be parked in violation of this section unless the vehicle is moved to a different block every 24 hours. For purposes of this section, a block is defined as the stretch of roadway between the two closest public street intersections on either end of the stretch. For cases where a roadway ends, a block is defined as the stretch of roadway between the end of the roadway and the closest public street intersection.
