Hi Naomi,
Lucia reached out to Mark Hoppmann last week regarding my listserve
questions. Mark kindly replied that he had seen my flyer come through on
the listserve, as Lucia had confirmed earlier. Mark emailed me again this
morning explaining that he just realized what he had seen was my flyer
coming through on the PSBA's email notices to members.
It appears that my flyer has not gone out on the listserve. My first class
is today.
The listserve instructions do not say whether to include a subject, so I
left the subject header blank. The instructions you sent state "The
listserv software blocks emails which it considers spam" -- maybe this is
the issue, although I have no way to know.
I just submitted the flyer again following these instructions you sent me
when you manually subscribed me to the list:
Hi Anthea. I’m not sure why the subscribing process wasn’t working for you
before but I just went in and manually subscribed you to the TacomaArt
listserv. I signed up your anthea.karanasos@gmail.com email address. You
will likely receive a confirmation email about this.
Here’s info on how to post to the listserv:
Posting Messages
To post a message, send it to TacomaArt@list.cityoftacoma.org. It will
automatically be sent to everyone on the list.
Attachments must be no larger than 2MB. Due to the automated nature of this
listserv, any attachments larger than this will not be posted and will
result in blocking the entire message.
The listserv software blocks emails which it considers spam. This includes
emails which contain multiple addresses in the To:, CC:, and BCC: lines.
The software also blocks emails in which the TacomaArt email address is
placed in the BCC: line. To ensure your post goes through, please put
Tacomaart@list.cityoftacoma.org in the To: line of the email and do not
include any other email addresses.
Where possible please include web address links to share posted information.
I am off to teach my class now. I will check back later to learn whether
there is a way to solve this glitch.
Thank you,
Anthea
