Nalini - Is there another name for the Stratford Access Pond? It doesn't
come up on Google Maps.
Is this pond near the Subway headquarters?

I found it using Ebird but address is

611 Access Road
Stratford, CT 06615

The pond is small, behind an office building. There was parking available there when I went.

Good luck!

Nalini and all,

That small pond is behind an office building, which is PRIVATE PROPERTY. As such, I urge all birder visitors to be respectful of private property, and to view from your car or the edge of the parking lot.  I encourage birders to visit only on weekends, when most offices are closed. DO NOT WALK TO EDGE OF POND, partly because its private property, and partly because doing so invariably causes roosting waders to flush. Please be on best behavior, as up to now, access has been allowed. I wish it was not identified as an EBird hotspot.

Actually, In past years the equally small pool (now obscured by phragmites) opposite RE Michael had been the pool to watch. Past goodies there included Ruff, Red-necked Phalarope, Stilt Sandpipers, Least Bittern, Common Gallinule, King Rail, Sora, etc. In the past local birders hacked down the reeds enough to view that pond.
