Roots: Connecting with Mother Earth, an arts and activism event

Tacoma Poet Laureate, Cathy Nguyễn, The People's Assembly and Rachel Heaton present Roots: Connecting with Mother Earthhttps://www.facebook.com/events/686394211548664/, an arts and activism event open to all, while lifting up youth and centering on indigenous communities and people of color. Saturday, April 22, 5 – 9 pm at Chief Leschi School, 5625 52nd St E, Puyallup

In celebration of Earth Day, we invite youth, young adults, and all community members to experience live performances, a community mural, youth-led workshops, and open mic to honor Mother Earth and expand our imagination of justice.

Registration is not required, but recommended if:

·        you are in need of transportation (we're arranging a school bus and some community rideshares to get people to Chief Leschi)

·        you can provide transportation, carpooling, or rideshare

·        you are interested in volunteering
