A member poses the following:
If a citizen-initiated petition to change the local charter actually reads that its purpose is to change the charter of a neighboring locality (similarly-named but legally separate) but within the same county, is the error in jurisdictional reference a factually and legally-sufficient basis to disqualify the petition? (Florida law preferable, but if this would be sufficient in another state I would be interested in learning how to best frame the argument(s).)
