Hi folks,

come hear our last IAS Seminar Speaker in this quarter's Sustainability
Series.

Dr. Ellen Moore, faculty member in Communication from UWT's
Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Program, will present "Feeling the
Heat: How American Mainstream Media Cover Environmental Issues."

Wed, Dec 7, 12:30-1:30pm in JOY 117 (open to the public)

Ellen Moore received her PhD in Communication from the University of
Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2010 and has taught at the University of
Washington Tacoma as a lecturer from 2009.  Her research interests include
environmental communication, particularly how mass media treat
environmental issues and present them to mainstream audiences.  Prior to
working in Communication, Ellen received her BA and MA in Forensic
Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley and the
University of Tennessee, using those degrees to work for the US government
recovering MIA remains from Southeast Asia from 2000-2003.
