Although the house has air and lots of shade, I did shave him last summer for the first time...and this amazingly happy dog showed up..he just seemed SO much happier in his body..then I let it grow again..Good luck!! I adopted "Jack" a few months ago and he is such a great dog! I know he is very happy here with me as well. I'm looking for a groomer for him. I seek someone who is above all gentle and kind but also someone who is skilled with grooming Newfs. I don't want him shaved or even cut short but I do want him trimmed up and thinned out for summer - I still want him to look like the beautiful Newf that he is. I live near Somerset, WI. Any recommendations?
