any suggestions for sources of (backup) paper charts routing Hong Kong back
to the West Coast (eastbound)? opinions/preferences regards details/accuracy
where there are more than one chart printer/producer?

Check out Bellingham Chart Printers (http://www.tidesend.com/). They make
very reasonable B/W copies of standard charts, either full size or smaller.
