Hello neighbors,
Army worms are invading our area because of the excessive rain we have had
this summer.  We discovered them in our yard yesterday.  I contacted a man
who is a turf specialist and he is coming out to treat them in the
morning.  You can tell that they are there by an unusual yellow spot in
your yard in spite of adequate watering.  The yellowed area will spread
exponentially overnight as they eat the grass.  They do not kill the yard.
They just eat your grass blades,  leaving the root system intact.
Eventually they turn into a moth and go away.  Here is a link discussing
the issue:

The man we are using to treat this is Reid Lefler. 8302859401
Found him on Nextdoor. He is a turf specialist who knows how to treat it.
He says it is terrible around here this year.
