What an amazing annual Vuecrest picnic we had Saturday, August16th! The Vuecrest Community turned out in force this year (it didn’t rain😊). The community enjoyed Tacos by Los Koros Express, ice cream truck and tons of activities (i.e. badminton, ring toss, ladder golf, giant Jenga, connect 4 game and more). It was a great to reconnect and meet new Vuecrest neighbors. The picnic is held on Park Rd between Evergreen Dr. & Vineyard Crest on our grass esplanades every summer. Special “thank you” to all the committee members and volunteers that made the event a success!

Fall is here and Halloween is just around the corner. Vuecrest Halloween decorations are up, residents are preparing to decorate their homes, and, most importantly, trick-or-treaters are gearing up to storm the neighborhood. Vuecrest quiet streets, festive residents, and proximity to downtown Bellevue make it a very desirable trick-or-treating location for both kids living in Vuecrest and kids around Bellevue. This is a friendly reminder to help keep the trick-or-treaters and accompanying adults safe this Halloween. If you are out driving on Halloween, please be considerate of trick-or-treaters by driving extra slow. If you are accompanying trick-or-treaters, keep them safe with visible costumes, a flashlight, or glow-sticks. Let’s make Vuecrest a safe, welcoming, and fun neighborhood for trick-or-treaters this Halloween.
As always, if you have any Vuecrest Safety Committee related issues or concerns to bring to our attention, please do so by emailing safety@vuecrest.netmailto:safety@vuecrest.net
Coyote REMINDER!
Wile E. coyote has been spotted in Vuecrest recently, so be cautious while outside on walks or in your yard. Washington Department of Fish & Wildlifehttps://wdfw.wa.gov/species-habitats/species/canis-latrans#conflict has more info on what to do if you encounter a coyote and how to avoid human-wildlife conflict.

Landscape Committee, Kristin Bodiford, Committee Chair landscape@vuecrest.netmailto:landscape@vuecrest.net
Summer is over and the Vuecrest community areas are beautiful with the seasonal plantings and recent tree, hedge and plantings trimmings.
Please plan accordingly to do your Fall clean-up and maintenance items to keep our community looking the best it can be. Property maintained - lawns mowed, weed free and hedges trimmed to meet Vuecrest Protective Restrictions is very important to maintain Vuecrest. Thank you for doing your part to keep your home looking its best.

Trash/Recycle/Yard waste tote etiquette
Here’s a few reminders regarding trash/recycle/yard waste tote etiquette in the Vuecrest community;
- Totes should be put out the day before collection and then pulled back in the day after collection
- Totes should be stored on your property in a place not visible from the street
- Place totes at or nearest the end of your driveway for collection only
- Secure all bin lids in the down position, especially the garbage bin to ensure lids are down and garbage is contained and helps keep birds and other critters from making a mess before collection
- Ask a neighbor to put your totes out or bring them in if you are planning to be out of town
- Never leave totes out on the street for an extended period of time
- Promptly clean-up any trash or other debris that may have occurred near your property during collection day
