Ok, Ive been wrong befor, but it is a good feature to have. I will look at my
manuals on Paragons and Velvet drives. BTW, your emails don't get through to

I found the Twin Disc manual and posted in the Trawler forum. This is a
list of the units that support the come home feature. ZF does not
document any such feature, but some units may have it.
I cannot find the postings on this from the past or any other
references anywhere on the internet under "come-home screw". Don't know
what to make of this.

I found the Twin Disc manual and posted in the Trawler forum. This is a list of the units that support the come home feature. ZF does not document any such feature, but some units may have it. I cannot find the postings on this from the past or any other references anywhere on the internet under "come-home screw". Don't know what to make of this. The ZF transmission manual for my boat does document a clutch
lockdown, either reverse (pretty useless) or forward gear. You take
the top inspection cover off transmission and tighten one of two
bolts depending which clutch you want to engage. So clearly some ZF's
do support this, and in fact it's ZF's recommended 'get home'
procedure for dealing with clutch issues.
