CLASS: Subtractive Shading: 1-4 pm
DROP IN: 2-4 pm

Class is $35 and comes with museum admission ($17 value). The first hour is
demonstration and instruction, followed by two hours of open drawing.

Drop-in is $10 and does not include museum admission.

This session is on the 3rd floor Education Wing of Tacoma Art Museum. Check
in at the front desk and walk up the stairs or take the elevator up to the
classroom.

The classroom has height adjustable tables but no easels. Drawing boards or
sketchbooks are suggested. Absolutely no photography is allowed and all
devices with cameras (including cell phones) are to remain in bags or
pockets. Thank you for your understanding. Open to artists of any skill
level, ages 16-adult.

Suggested materials include:
-Newsprint
-Drawing paper
-Chamois or rag for toning paper
-Vine charcoal
-Compressed charcoal or charcoal pencils
-Kneaded eraser
-White chalk pastel or conte
