National Coalition for Literacy Discussion List
View all threadsAs a result of the election last week I won my race for a seat in the NH House. My thanks to all my friends who provided support throughout the campaign. We are all in this together.
Now the task has begun to get on the Education Committee, another interesting political process.
Due to the flip of the House and Senate to the Democrats there will be additional slots on the committee for Democratic representatives so I am somewhat optimistic.
I look forward to help making NH government work for the many, not just the few.
I will keep the list posted on the ups and downs of the next two years.
I hope that we can meet again on down the road.
Take care, Art

Art, on behalf of the NCL, congratulations on your success in the New Hampshire election! It's so important for our legislators at all levels to recognize the value of adult education and family literacy. Who better to serve in a legislative capacity, then, than someone who has dedicated his career to the field? I look forward to hearing more about your work and your experiences as you pursue this new role. Thanks for the update Art. We surmised during the policy call last week that you had won but I hadn’t had a chance to confirm. Congrats and good luck!
