Wondering if anyone can share whether or not the MI Kite is still being
seen flying over a Larsen. Was thinking of heading out there to try for it.
Any tips would be welcome. Thank you!

I assume that Kite(s) are still being seen.
Last Friday, a nice local birder recommended staying in the parking lot and looking south/southeast, which was a great tip. Towards the back of the parking lot, you get the most sky and best chance to catch the bird(s).
But, being a bit bored after well over an hour of waiting, I hiked to the deer meadow platform with 3 other birders and we again waited about 40 minutes before finally seeing the kites. The views from the meadow were VERY distant and as soon as we were sure it was them, we hiked back to the parking area where we were rewarded with much better views.
So the tip is stay at the parking lot. And I would recommend bringing a folding chair and a snack, in case the wait is longer than expected.
Hope this helps!
