Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsThis morning, Rowboat Julia completed her last nite on the Canals with an
overnight aboard Tug 44. Her rowing trip was a wonderful adventure for her
... and yesterday and today was a fun visit for me. She looks so different
now that she did last month when I first met her. 350 miles of rowing took
15 pounds off and built some serious muscles. When I first met her I
guessed her age at 28 or 30, she is actually 42. She says she ate
lumberjack meals every day while rowing but lost the weight anyway. She
looks terrific now. She just left, heading back to NYC and reality. She'll
come back in the spring for a canal cruise on Tug 44 ... quite different
from what she's done before.

After these last 2 days spent with me, I found her to be a very high
quality person ... smart, well-spoken ... and tough as nails.
And she proved that girls can do anything! What a wonderful adventure!

Why are you hiding the photos of her with you on your big tractor? We know
that is how you sweet talk all the gals up there in Ft Edward.
C'mon, give it up man. Show us the tractor photo !
