HI, I did the loop in 2009-10, in a  Pearson 31, with Mast  of 47 FT. UP
from water line to top of  ant., all the bridges on the  rivers are 50 ft. no
need to ship the mast if under 49 ft. Coast Guard web site  with all the
Bridge clearance's on all Rivers and Waterways in the U.S.A.  Only had to
remove my mast on the Erie Canal, and did not go thru Chicago.  Trailered my boat
to the Ohio River in Cincinnati, and finished in Sandusky  Ohio.  Not
Complete Loop.  Good Luck  Bob

Bob was asking recently about his mast and bridges for the loop. I'm not
sure if somebody provided this solution, but it would fit the bill.

Arantinga went easily under 65' bridges with her 80' mast.

recommendation as to whether to ship the mast to Alabama or place it on deck

when we hit northern New York and do you have a recommendation as to a yard that
does a good job at removing the mast?
