When I read your question a visual popped into my mind immediately.  Every
spring we see the appearance of an interesting species.  They are only visible
several times a year, they come out, circle the break water a couple times and
head back to their nest.  The text books say they can fly, but more often you
see them running hard with their nose in the air, puffing away, lots of froth
in their wake, but rarely do they actually take flight.  I don't know if it's
for a lack of might, a lack of will, moss on their feet, or a belly too full
from spending so much time in their nest.  But I hear they expend so much
energy in their failed attempt that they must spend many weeks in the nest
working for the man to afford enough feed to fuel their next effort.  We call
these creatures the SeaRays.

I suspect the set up you inquire about would
have a similar behavior.

Dear all,

What would be the impact of a projected planning cat hull if we set
up
engines for lower speeds? Is there loss of efficiency? Confort? Any
other
points?
