This is a reminder about the upcoming Puyallup River Watershed Council (PRWC) forum on Wednesday October 28, 2009, 5-7 pm held at the Sumner City Hall Council Chambers.
This forum will focus on the status of Steelhead in the Puyallup Watershed as well as in Puget Sound, off the Pacific Coast and in the Canadian and Alaskan waters.
Russ Ladley, biologist and Director of Natural Resources at The Puyallup Tribe of Indians will lead the discussion and present information on the status the Puyallup River system and recent history of steelhead numbers.
Mike Scharps, biologist from the State Department of Fish and Wildlife will discuss the "larger picture" on their status on the west coast of North America and in the northern latitudes.
