I went to the Fort Myers, FL boat show and was very impressed with the PDQ
34.
I would really appreciate hearing the lists opinion on this catamaran. If
there are any PDQ owners in the Punta Gorda, FL area, I would love to hear how
you like your boat.
Thanks

I have hull 63 built last year. I strongly suggest you go to Whitby before your boat is built and talk directly with PDQ. Go back just before is it finished and walk through to confirm all is in order...they are human and sometimes things get left out. There is not an option list per se as much as there are things they will do if asked and ones they will no due to time restraints. They do have "packages" which combine options.
For FL I would definately add deck hatches over the head, galley, and 2 berths. Go with the 100 hp engines which get better fuel burn at the speeeds of the 75's but of course burn more (6gph) at higher speeds (usually around 18 kts). Like the "quiet package." If you get tank monitors have them add a step cover over the sender unit in the holding tank in the stbd. lazerette or you'll step on. Add steps in the hull in the same compartment as it is quite deep. Have them add wood strips down the hulls in both fwd lazerettes so you can hang your lines, fenders etc. You'll want a bimini and window covers in FL but the canvas costs in Canada are double of the Chesapeake and suggest you arrange for that once home. If you are buying through Rumb Line their canvas maker should have the patterns for both and can have them ready to install when your boat arrives. Go to PDQforum.com and talk with other owners as well. Lots of good ideas floating around out there. Good luck

Power-Catamaran Mailing List
This thread reminds me how effective of an information medium an
interactive mailing list like Power Catamaran List can be.
It also encourages me to continue the emphasis on owner-to-owner
communications. Trade participation in discussion is welcome, of
course. Designers, builders and dealers have a lot of information to
offer, but this forum exists primarily for private individuals to
exchange information and offer inspiration to each other.
