Colleagues,

Here are links to articles about the withdrawal of Rep Tim Kelly's nomination to be head of OCTAE. These are from the Career Tech Update Smartbrief.

The nomination of Michigan Rep. Tim Kelly to lead the office of career, technical and adult education at the US Department of Education has been withdrawn by the Trump administration over concerns about posts on Kelly's personal blog. Kelly had been scheduled for a Senate confirmation hearing Nov. 15.

Thanks Deborah,

I haven’t had a chance to look at this until now, as I’ve been in multi-day board meeting.

This is too bad, I was really looking forward to Sen. Murray asking him about those studies that show that women don’t have the “taste” for science.

It took them almost a year to figure out that this guy was obviously not going to be an acceptable nominee. Anyone have any ideas on what their plan B might be?
