Bob,

Thanks for making your posting today in response to my criticism about
my perception of your attitude towards Nordhavn's Your legendary
experience on the water still doesn't countenance your very blatant
slant in my view, and is further reinforced with today's post, although
now better understood. I have a strong dislike for people who criticise
companies that are out there trying to make a buck, and employing
people. "Loose lips - sink ships"

However I apologise if you found my comments insensitive.

The comment about the Mother in Law was purely tongue in cheek, as with
the dog. This is an Aussie thing, and we are yet to add an LOL, grin, or
smile in parenthesis as an after rider to explain an attempt with
humour. Maybe it can be explained why Billy Crystal has just done only 4
one man shows this year - one in the US, and 3 in Aussie. We went, and
loved it - "700 Sundays"

Coincidently my wife and I have her 91 year old father Rupert living
with us (for 4 months), he also sadly has cancer and other things as
well, but as you know it's not overly aggressive at this age. This is
probably why we both aren't out on the water, instead of crapping on in
this site.

Also trying to draw a comparison about my 6 days from Fiji to NZ with an
old friend against your 65 years was a bit deprecating. I've spent
sometime cruising your East Coast from the Bahamas to Nova Scotia as
well as a dozen other countries since 1973 (just back from French
Polynesia last October). Would like to have done more, but too busy at
work to be able to retire early and afford a Nordhavn and the juice to
cruise the world.

Final question, but let's stop soiling PUP with this crap - e-mail me.
Who won the notorious Fastnet Race, and do you think maybe the winners
were acclimatised to conditions that would best suit a Nordhavn?

Regards,

Peter Sheppard

Please, don't take this away. This has been the best PUP postings yet,
continue. I think that most of us are mature enough not to get our pannies
in a knaught over snide remarks, and if we ain't, surely we learned how to
untie a knot in kindergarten. Sometimes you need to jerk a dogs chain to get
him out of his barrell.
