Access to the flybridge was via a substantial set of stairs which
hinged up to reveal a large storage space.
Also, the stair's opening to the flybridge was large but uncovered.

Gary,
Thanks--I couldn't tell from the photos on the web site. I don't want
to deal with a ladder in a seaway, and I know that my wife would reject
a boat with a ladder.
The Australian cats seem to love ladders--and they seem to know how to
build sea-kindly boats (a knack the French do not have).

Chuck,
The best view of the stairs is the one showing the storage compartment underneath (the stairs are lifted up). If you save the photos of cockpit to your computer then open them up in windows, you can zoom in and see the stairs better.
On a side note, most people don't like ladders due to the verticle slope and narrow tread. Both of those are changable. You can put new treads on the bars which are similar in depth to the step on a stair. I've done this and it makes it one feel much safer going up and coming down. Changing the slope requires the space to do it and often having a new ladder built, but it's a minor expense compared to rejecting an otherwise good boat for lack of stairs. Just a thought.
