Several local artists have been partnering with The Grand Cinema to create the movie poster art for the Weird Elephant Film Series. October is seeing anyway from one to two posters a week as prints have been created for the spooking month of October including Shaun of the Dead, An American Werewolf in London, Dune, The Thing, Army of Darkness, and Halloween. You can purchase prints before the showing of the film in the lobby for $10, and in some cases $20. You can even purchase older prints from when the collaboration started in 2019. But, since some of the prints are limited supplies are beginning to run out-of-stock. Weird Elephant films run at 10pm on Friday and Saturday. This Friday, tonight, it is The Thing with artwork by Mark Monlux, Saturday is Army of Darkness with artwork by Anique Zimmer. Next Frid/Sat is Halloween with art by James Stowe.
