Write253 is gearing up for a busy late winter, including an installment of our open mic for teens and young adults, a meeting of teachers and writers, and a fundraiser! We hope to see you at some of these great events: Ours Poetica Saturday, January 13 from 2-4pm Blue Cactus Press 1901 Jefferson Ave., Suite 105, 98402 Join us for our quarterly meeting of teachers who write and writers who teach. Open to anyone who teaches middle-school, high-school, and college-level creative writing (or any subject, really). This meeting's workshop will be facilitated by poet and publisher Chris Vega of Blue Cactus Press. Our Poetica is an informal opportunity to write with other teachers and to share something you are working on (bring something to share!). ---- Well Versed: An open mic for teens and young adults Tuesday, January 16 from 6-8pm Campfire Coffee 1554 Market St., 98402 Our monthly open mic for teens and young adults returns after a holiday break! Bring your poems, stories, songs, juggling acts, soliloquys, or whatever else you'd like to share!
