We researched Endeavours, both the 36 and 44 before finally
deciding on the PDQ. Here are some figures from my files -
these are mostly from owner e-mails:
TrawlerCat 36 - 2 x 125 HP Yanmars
2000 rpm 3300 rpm
7.0 kts 12.5 kts
2.5 gph 8 gph
TrawlerCat 44 - 2 x 240 HP Yanmars
1800 rpm 3100 rpm
7.5 kts 15 kts
4.0 gph 13.5 gph
Interestingly, the Endeavour TC-38 with the same engines
as the 44, does not do any better performance-wise. In fact,
it's top speed is actually a knot less than the 44. It tops out
at about 15.5 kts whereas the 44 can be coaxed up to about
16.5 kts WOT. I've heard the new 40-footer has about the
same performance as the 38.
I think Endeavour pays a price for their tunnel hull design (on
their larger models) but it does afford great propeller protection!
Any Endeavour owners out there care to chime in on this?
