Barges Sit for Hours Behind Locks That May Take Decades to Replace

This is an interesting article in today's New York Times about the state
of the locks on the inland waterways. Aging conditions affects not only
commercial interests (and apparently there is a major problem with
delays) but for all of us who are cruising or intend to cruise these
inland waters.
