Anchors - Bahamas

We spent several months in the Bahamas a couple of years ago, specifically, lots of time in the Exumas.
We anchored off and on at Big Majors (Staniel Cay) for days or weeks at a time.  We have a 1999 Catalina 36 with a 35# Delta.
Lots of fronts came through that winter and we never had a problem.  We also rode out a BIG blow at Black Point, a few miles south of Big Majors.  There were three boats there and the locals told us that we were in a bad position but it was already too late to move, so we stayed.  We rocked and rolled for 38 hours in 35-40 kt winds and big seas but the anchor held.  We are all chain rode and let out about 10:1 scope.  We have found that the Delta has served us well.  The only time we have had a problem was in Solomons, MD.
