The Manesquan inlet is probably fine, but no longer connects to the rest of
the ICW, there is a house sitting in the middle of the channel there.

Wade; Thanks for asking, same thing is on our mind. Fred Thanks for the
Input. I have been talking to guys on the SSB Radio  as a Ham radio
operator and staying in touch via www.waterwayradio.net  Cape May New
Jersey  is OK. They are good. So  question is what about after Cape May. I
suspect that the major inlets Manesquan ? etc will be Ok, at least hope so.
We will be also looking into it as we get closer to March.    We will
examine our planned route and check out the stops on www.activecaptain.com
and make some phone calls before hand. . With our 5 ft draft we were not
planning to do the inside ICW through New Jersey anyway.    Capt Bob

During the storm, the barrier island breached and flushed a bunch of houses

into the ICW.  A week or two ago, in a normal storm, that same spot
breached again.  When spring gets here, you should assume that the ICW is
not available in New Jersey, would not surprise me if it were only a foot
deep in places.

This was all in the area of the Mantoloking Bridge.

Ahoy All:

Even though we're currently docked in the Florida Keys for the winter,
summer cruising is less than 6 months away.  A planned "Loop" adventure is

kind of on hold right now, for a few reasons, one of them being the unknown

condition of the NJ ICW.
Do any on the list have current information about conditions after
Sandy?  anchorages, shoaling, missing signage,...?  Any and all comments
will be appreciated.
