Are you interested in composting food using worms or backyard yard debris composting? Come learn about home composting on Wednesday, June 11, 6 - 8 p.m. at Federal Way City Hall at 33325 8th Ave S at this month's Green Living Workshop. A Garden Hotline expert will show attendees how to set up and maintain a worm composting bin. This is great for people without yard waste service who no longer want to send food to the landfill. Attendees will also discover easy ways to turn lawn clippings, leaves and plant trimmings into nutrient-rich compost using a backyard compost bin. Residents of all levels of interest and experience are welcome to attend, whether just curious about composting or needing troubleshooting assistance.
