Hi Ludwig,

My name is Clark Boeken.  I am happy to hear your tour is almost over and
you are safe.  When looking for catamarans the bottom I believe you are
looking for is a flat bottom with propeller safety.  It is called a semi
displacement hull.  Anything copied or designed by Malcolm Tennant is good.
He has now passed on, but is a legend in hull design for catamarans.  As for
plane jane boats most companies can accommodate you by building a charter
version which generally is without all the wood and perks.  Although cats
don't have much draft you will be hard pressed to find one with less than
24" draft.  I build a 38ft and 42ft with charter versions with 15'9" and 18'
beams respectively.  There are a lot of companies out there that build great
cats.  It's a lot of fun researching and when you get back you can start
your search in ernest.

Best of luck!

Hi Clark
I do understand what you are saying just that I was looking in more
of
differenced design,  wave cutting bottom type with lighter weight to the
total
shell. Same thing more like cross layer woven type with maybe staring
18b above
water line with two layer of cross layer Carbon Fiber for
strength. I did look
at your web site, very good looking Catamaranbs, just
Idea for your 42' with
RAYMARINE CAMERA IN EACH ENGINE ROOM may be you can
offer this option for
Docking Camera.
Thanks for your time.

Ludwig

Hello Ludwig

I work with Clark on his boats and am base out of south west florida in the
Tampa area. What we have done with the electronics is to take the most chosen
options and put them on paper as ther is almost a limitless amout of options
and add ons that we are able to add to a system that is realy comes down to
personl;a choice and budget as to how far people want to go. With the
Raymarine e-series option chosen adding cameras is a simple matter of
purchasing the camera and running the wire it is jus personal choice.

Thanks
