Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsI have had one for 3 years now. Radio is fine, but I need to reference the
instructions when changing settings. More features then I will ever use.
The AIS screen is small, I don't use it. I send the data to my Dell ATG
Laptop, running Tiki Navigation software. That I find very useful, when
cruising anywhere near commercial traffic.

Can anyone related their experience with and their opinion of the Horizon
GX 2150 AIS, VHF radio? Both AIS and VHF functions? Thanx, Jon.

Anyone considering moving to an AIS transponder should check the latest
(yesterday) Active Captain Defender discount special. This Vesper unit
does it all and extremely well, to include wifi to up to 4 other devices.
This truly is the state of the art useful AIS class B transponder unit
with standalone capability.
