Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsI think you are being a little miserly on the 1 hr employee time, since to
lift out the old would entail disconnecting them. Without seeing the
connectors that could be an issue. I can almost guarantee that replacements
will be a little different in size (even with the same dimensions), is it a
tight fit now?
Then, lifting in the new, wouldn't require reconnecting them if you were
going to do it, but are you expecting them to be reconnected and are you
sure all terminal connectors are in good shape? No corrosion that needs to
be cleaned?
After my new batteries were put in I had to go back and remove all of the
wing nuts (I don't think they are recommended anymore). I used stop nuts on
mine. Time and expense for you?
Also, do you want the old batteries removed from your saloon or are you
going to do that?
You only mentioned "lift out old batteries and lift in new ones". Could
probably do that in an hour.
I think you should maybe double that amount of billable time for a complete
job.
Good luck
Best regards,
Charles
