He was flown from Saranac to Burlington VT. where he stayed for two weeks. He is now in White Plains rehabbing, but he has a long way to go. He had brain damage that is limiting his motor skills, but he is making progress. Beside the couple of bucks we are asking for, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Won a National championship with old blue sevens. Those of you that have played with any of Mirro’s sevens teams knows the Nellie. A real competitor. A true rugby man. The injury caused swelling on the brain to the point where his body shut down, and he needed CPR on the field. Without getting into details, he awoke from surgery partially paralyzed. The good news is that the doctors believe he can have a full recovery. The rehab road isn't going to be short but those of us that know how competitive he is, knows that Danny will push it to the limits and make the doctors look good. The FDNY Rugby team will be hosting a fundraiser out in LB to help defray any of the costs incurred due to his injury and accommodations for his family during his hospital stay. He was flown from Saranac to Burlington VT. where he stayed for two weeks. He is now in White Plains rehabbing, but he has a long way to go.
