Hello champions for adult literacy!

As you know, adult literacy within the context of family literacy is a major impetus for our national conference. Any promotion to your networks would be appreciated—not to mention that we hope to see you there. Please see below language as a guide:

As you begin your summer give yourself something to look forward to this fall. Early bird registration for NCFL’s premier professional development conference this fall closes July 15th. If you register before then, you’ll save $101! Getting away from your daily routine and learning what others in your field are doing can renew your enthusiasm and arm you with fresh ideas. I hope you’ll consider attending the Families Learning Conferencehttp://conference.familieslearning.org/ from October 9-11 in Tucson, Arizona.

Here are four reasons why attending will increase your success as a professional working with children and families:

  1. Choose from among 100+ concurrent sessions of robust content. Find sessions on early childhood education, adult education, family literacy, family engagement, libraries, digital resources, and policy and federal funding.

  2. Expand your professional learning network while renewing your spirit. The 2017 Families Learning Conference takes place at the gorgeous JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa.<http://conference.familieslearning.org/hotel/> You’ll enjoy sharing ideas with your peers while participating in the resort’s unique daily rituals and NCFL’s built-in networking time during the Conference.

  3. Hear stories of inspiration from keynote speakers. Listen to a gripping story of perseverance, resilience, and optimism from JR Martinez, U.S. veteran turned public speaker and author. Be inspired by Billy Mills, the only American to ever have won Olympic gold in the 10,000 meters and member of the Oglala Lakota Tribe. There are many other impressive speakers to be revealed soon!

  4. Refresh your mind and body at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa. You work so tirelessly for families all year long. As an attendee, not only will you receive high quality professional development, but you’ll also reward your hard work with a relaxing and invigorating stay at a luxurious resort. Enjoy the pool, lazy river, hiking, biking, and more!

Go ahead and get your registration in and plan to join us for the 2017 Families Learning Conference. Register today, conference.familieslearning.orghttp://conference.familieslearning.org/!

Thanks!
Josh
