The Kinsey Collection Opening Block Party July 31 @ 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm Join Tacoma Art Museum as we celebrate the opening of The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection<https://www.tacomaartmuseum.org/explore/the-kinsey-collection/>! Be among the first to see the exhibition and take part in a one-of-a-kind Block Party. Free to all from 1pm - 8pm, this community festival will feature live music from area DJs, performances from T.U.P.A.C.<https://tacomaupac.org/> and the Vision Step Team<http://www.visionstepteam.org/>, and live artmaking from Tacoma artist Perry Paints<http://www.perrypaints.com/>. Grab a bite to eat from one of the local food trucks and pick up a piece of art from any one of the community artists who will be selling their work in the Tacoma Art Museum Store and our events space. Free parking is available at the Tacoma Art Museum, the Tacoma Courthouse, and the Children’s Museum. Due to the expected high attendance for this event, reservations are encouraged.
