Hey,
This afternoon, near Ipperwash, I had an adult basic Franklin’s Gull in a winter wheat field, with a few dozen ring billed gulls. A Red-tail put everything up but it may return at some point. This was immediately east of hwy 21, across from the Paradice pot dispensary, just north of Army Camp Road.
Earlier in the day at Kettle Point, Matt Parsons, Mike Bouman and I had no luck with hurricane waifs but did manage a conservative 17 Jaegers, a few convincingly Parasitic but most well out harassing Terns. An excellent count for the date and location.
Cheers,
James H.
