Hi All
As of today, there are 13 homes for the community garage sale. Signs will be placed at the bridge and on the access road at our entry. There will be directional signage within the community so folks will know where to turn. Please consider putting additional signs at your driveways as well.
If you know anyone who might not be on this email list but lives in our community, please spread the word! My email is JJMSAT@aol.com and my cell is 210-861-5118 should anyone want to be on my list.
I will advertise on Monday and Thursday on Craig's list. You may want to also list your individual sale with a sampling of items you have to offer. The more postings the better for all of us.
DO remember to have small bills and some change. I suggest at least 2 people so you one can manage the money and another can help shoppers and generally keep an eye on the sale. We have not had any problems that I am aware of, but it certainly pays to be careful and observant.
The gate will be open at 8 AM until 1 PM.
At 1 PM, the Arms of Hope truck will begin pickup of donation items. I am going to supply addresses for them. Items to be donated MUST be in good repair/good working order. Please do not leave anything that is trash as those kinds of things will be left on the curb. As always, old electronics and mattresses are not accepted. A tax receipt will be left on your door.
If you are not having a sale, you still can leave donations. Please send me your address so I can add it to the pickup list.
For all donations---clearly mark for Arms of Hope and be sure items are properly boxed as needed.
Finally---If you are so inclined, open your garage sale on the Friday night prior from 7-8 for neighbors to pre-shop. Some of us like to do that because we will be busy on Saturday!
Looking forward to a successful day March 23!Julia
