I am excited to share this music with our community! The Tacoma Community College Symphonic Band will perform a program that explores the backstory and genesis of creativity in music. “Inspirations” is a program influenced by modern composition techniques, folk music, historic events, and the role of music education in society. My colleague, Mr. Leo Altamiranda, will be guest conducting on two pieces. Altamiranda is the band director at Mt. Tahoma High School, in Tacoma. His energy and enthusiasm for music education are a positive influence on all the musicians he gets to work with. This concert is FREE, and open to the public. Donations are accepted.
