Hi Neighbors,
As promised, I will start my tiny library on Monday.  I will put the books on our sidewalk, not at the curb, so you will know these are meant to share.  Take books, leave books if you wish.  Honor system, fo course.  Just to make things a little fun, I will leave a fun bookmark for a bookloving child to keep.  Hopefully one or more each day!  If your child finds it and loves it, the bookmark is to take and keep!
I saw a wonderful thing on facebook I want to share.  My sister in law's mother is 102, lives alone, and obviously cannot have guests.  SOOOOO...the family kids decorated her driveway with chalk rainbows and happy smiling suns.  I know not everyone would want their concrete colored but if any of your kids want to leave a drawing, I would think that is VERY COOL!
Sunny days coming next week.  I hope you will be having "PE" walking around our neighborhood.
Hanging in with the rest of you,
Julia and Jed

Will these books be wiped down?
I get concerned about viruses being transported through sharing items.

Thanks!

According to my husband, who works with quality and sterilization at a medical device company, COVID-19 only lives on cardboard for up to 24 hrs. I assume paper would be similar.

These books are have been in my home for years.  I will wipe them off too. If you leave a book, please do the same.  I know you guys will do what is safe.  The bookmarks will be sanitized and put in a baggie!
Jed and I have had very little outside contact for the last two weeks.  We have been trying to be very careful and we have no signs of illness.  Julia

Thank you, Julia! You are so thoughtful.  I have a few middle school books
for young teens as well.  I’ll add them to your collection.
