View all threadsOn Saturday evening the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a press releasehttps://protectingimmigrantfamilies.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ea07e067c43a4abfd60b1669&id=a736bc0cf9&e=7d6c24bb7d and the text of the highly anticipated public charge rulehttps://protectingimmigrantfamilies.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3ea07e067c43a4abfd60b1669&id=8d91072ff6&e=7d6c24bb7d. We don't know when the rule will be officially posted in the Federal Register for comment - it could be as early as next week. The rule is narrower than we anticipated but, if finalized, it would still put the health and wellbeing of millions of families at risk. For an overview of what's in the rule, check out this quick analysis documenthttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1FMcQYbV4DWPa9bPQn63oQVJkbkRqxe5dRmjjVFi0Ifg/edit.
