To All -

An awesome Sunday of racing today! Wow. After weeks of the doldrums, at last
we had a steady southerly piping up to 18 mph in gusts. We did the 5-mile
#13 course in about an hour, and that's cookin'! Warm, wet, and wild.
Congrats to Division #3 boats, and Zoom from Shattemuc, for turning out to
enjoy this wonderful day of sailing.

While I've got the floor, this coming weekend is shaping up (weather-wise)
to be perfect for the Guy Moulton 4th of July Regatta. To begin the weekend,
many cruising boats are heading for Bowline Point Thursday evening (high
tide 4 pm), for the legendary Haverstraw fireworks. Friday night are the
Nyack Fireworks to watch from your NBC mooring, or you can motor down and
toss out an anchor off of Memorial Park, or you can join a crowd of folk on
the NBC pier (bring your own chairs). So many choices. If the weather
forecast is right, you can't go wrong with what you do this weekend,

Saturday and Sunday is the 4th of July Regatta. The Guy Moulton Trophy
generally goes to the winner of the largest fleet. Goodness - based on
Wednesdays, why can't we get 10 -12 non-spinnaker boats to come out for a
super weekend of three races with a fun party Saturday night? Think about it
-there's always room for new experiences at NBC.

See you on the water.

Best guy for the job is David Sior of Constructive Hands on the Rondout.  See here.  Not the easiest guy in the world to get along with but the best shipwright in the area.

Best,
Bill
