The Official Word from Canal Corp: Notice to Mariners: Erie Canal - Cranesville to Fort Plain Mariners are advised that due to heavy rainfall producing high water levels the Erie Canal is closed from Lock E-10 (Cranesville) to Lock E-15 (Fort Plain). The Erie Canal is now closed from Cranesville (mile 35) through Sylvan Beach (mile 125). Canal sections will be reopened as soon as conditions are safe for navigation. Fred Tug 44
