Press release from King Catamarans of Australia:

King Catamarans to release new power catamaran at Australian boat show

King Cats is releasing a new flybridge power catamaran at the
Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in Australia, the King Cat 38. Designed to
chase the cruiser market in Australia and overseas, the company has
already sold two vessels and received interest from the US, New
Caledonia, Dubai and New Zealand.

The semi-displacement hull offers fuel economy and a beam of 5.3
metres means that the vessel can be compared to a larger 50-foot
monohull in terms of liveable space.

The King Cat 38 features three large berths in a variety of
configurations, one includes an ensuite. A large saloon area features
a spacious galley, lounge large enough to seat six adults and sleep
two once the table is lowered, a huge cockpit with sinks, bait tanks
and kill tanks and a set of moulded stairs leading to the flybridge.

Technical specifications include overall length 11.5m, beam 5.3m,
draft .75m, fuel capacity 1200L, water capacity 700L.

By the by, when I pass along press releases that I see, I post them
for what they are, press releases from power catamaran builders,
dealers and others which represent the viewpoint, often self-serving,
of builders, dealers and others. The discerning reader may need to
apply a grain of salt.

I post the releases for general information purposes, without any
verification or endorsement, and clearly indicate the source.

If you disagree with the subject matter of a release, or have other
comments, please post a message to the List.
