I looked up from my morning nap as we cruised down the Beaufort River after
passing the eponymous town, and who should I see but the Briny Bug crawling
its way up the river. Of course we could not hail them on the radio, but I
have a secret -I know Jill's call number. It's been a few years since we
last saw them when the left Panama City to continue their adventure. With
the boats maintaining appropriate social distancing, we exchanged the usual
sort of pleasantries with Rudy asking me if I was having trouble finding the
ocean. So nothing new there. J Everybody north of Beaufort, and especially
those in the town itself, start watching out for your salt shakers!

Yep, coming right at us was our favorite friend, Rich Gano in the boat he
was taking south, as he said, meeting in the Beaufort River. It did our
hearts good when told that the ocean was the other way, he turned the boat
around and headed there. Good thing Mary was aboard, otherwise.... To date,
haven't seen a single covid cootie!
