A reminder,
Everyones participation in the Passagemaking Under Power List is encouraged, and appreciated. Its important we stay focused on those issues and concerns related to making or planning blue water passages under power. The Trawlers & Trawlering list is the appropriate venue for discussing more generalized topics.
Examples: Discussing what makes one boat better than another for a passage is appropriate, even comparisons of passage capable boats seem to me on topic.
Discussing a navigation software vendor, without the context of a passage is best done on the T&T list.
Finally, we are privileged to have several manufactures representatives contributing to the list. They are valuable resources, as they live and breathe this topic every day (seems unfair to call it a job). A factual, informative contributions that are on topic, and void of direct engagement in the sales or selling process is welcome and encouraged. A good litmus test of a posting would be that the reader couldnt tell the post was from a manufactures representative, until reading the signature line, where it is appropriate to list your companies tag line, or web site address.
Thanks to all the contributors that continue to make this resource valuable and informative.
