BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...

... to all Gators adapting to the circumstances and taking on an event this
weekend!  And particularly we'd like to offer a shout out to our Jr. Gators
and Gator Tots participating in the "ISO-Gator Duathlon" event hosted by
our youth program leads Cindy Kelecic and Angela Epelbaum!  For more info
on it, see "Events"... https://www.facebook.com/events/2660417297395573/

Below is a list of virtual events taking place this weekend with some
spanning a range of time and already underway.  If you are participating in
any of these events or others that are missing from the list, please post a
comment so that we can virtually send real Gator vibes your way... It's a
scientifically proven fact that this will improve your finish times!

Also, we had our largest showing to date at a Zwift race a couple of nights
ago in the "Bullseye Points Race #5" with Chris Townsley, David Stone,
Ralph Owens, Maureen Hoffman, and Don Mack all participating.  If you are a
Zwift user and have not yet participated in a race, I encourage you to
check one out...  It's surprising how much like a real race it feels
including the pre-race anticipation/butterflies, in-race
intensity/motivation to push, and finish line satisfaction/"I can do better
next time" feelings.

This weekend's events include the following (and just a reminder that links
to all events can be found in our "Who's In?" calendar posted under
"Files"); all are FREE unless otherwise noted...

• Ongoing

◦ USAT Virtual Run Bike Run (through May 17): This event includes sprint
and Olympic distances.

◦ The Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee 1000K (through August 31): Ruth
Subach's event is underway!

◦ Quaranteam Strong Virtual Challenge (through June 30): This event is
offered by club sponsor Scoogie Events and Scoogie Snyder and includes
completing the following run distances over the timeframe of the event...
5K, 10K, 10 mile, half marathon!

◦ SRT Union Meadows King and Queen of the Hill Virtual Race (through May
17): This event is offered by club sponsor Chester County Running Store and
Don Morrison.  It includes your opportunity to be crowned King or Queen of
the Meadow Hill!

• IRONMAN VR6 (May 8-10): IRONMAN's virtual race series continues for a 6th
weekend and this time it's back to the Olympic distance duathlon, which
includes run 1 (approx 2 miles), bike (approx 25 miles), and run 2 (10K;
approx 6 miles).  Renee Schuck is participating for sure and I'm guessing
that at least our other IRONMAN VR series regulars are as well including
Shawn O'Malley, Doug Raab, and Jennifer Raab... Anyone else in this weekend?

• Gator Tot and Jr. Gator ISO-Gator Duathlon (May 9-10): This virtual event
for fun is in place of the postponed Scoogie Events Peace Valley Duathlon
and is open to ages 5-15 and includes three distances (although creativity
is 100% permitted on the distances)... Ages 5-9 (run 1/2 mile, bike 1.5
miles, run 1/2 mile), ages 10-12 (run 1/2 mile, bike 3 miles, run 1/2
mile), and ages 13-15 (run 1 mile, bike 3 miles, run 1 mile).  Our
participants will include at least Jack Epelbaum, Juliana Kelecic, Kaitie
Kelecic, and Belle Stone... Let us know if your Jr Gator/Gator Tot is in!

Have a great weekend!
