In 1990, a Korean Palanquin was brought to the US by an American couple who lived in Korea. All the disassembled pieces were donated to APCC in 2013, and finally restored to its current condition in 2018.
In order to celebrate this restoration, and educate our public about how it was used in traditional Korean weddings, the APCC will stage a mock traditional Korean wedding event at the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma on Saturday, June 16, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. For this special event, the Korean Royal family member, Mr. Kyung Hoon Lee, will come from Korea to initiate this Traditional Korean wedding ceremony. Authentic Korean Dance and Song will be a part of this special event.
