Resending to try and elicit a response.

Thanks.

Hello,

In a single Collection Space installation is there a way to create multiple collections with separate permissions?  We have a repository with Artifacts and Fine Art.  Different personnel work with the two collections.  We only want them to see what they have permission to but we also have managers who need to work with everything preferably using just one log-on.  Is this possible?

Hi Ganesh,
I don't think there's currently a good way to do this. Within a tenant,
permissions are defined for each record type, and there's only one type for
cataloging records. One possibility would be to define a new record type,
and then use the existing cataloging record for objects one collection, and
the new record type for objects in the other. This is pretty risky, as I
don't think anyone has tried to create a new kind of cataloging record, and
I suspect you'd run into areas where CollectionSpace assumes that there is
only one.
